Munachiso Michael of STREAMSOWERS & KÖHN, who is the Legal Counsel to Dr. Ngozi Okonki-Iweala, has advised the media to desist from all further publications linking the former Finance minister with the suit between Yushau Shuaib and the Federal Government, currently pending before the National Industrial Court.
The counsel tweeted that reports had been erroneous in including Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as a party to the suit.
According to him,
the National Industrial Court per Hon. Justice O. A. Shogbola delivered a ruling on October 14, 2014 upholding the preliminary objection challenging Dr. Okonjo-Iweala’s inclusion in the suit, stressing that her name was accordingly struck out as a party to the suit for lack of a cause of action against her.
