Bauchi governor swears-in new SSG

The Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, has sworn-in the new Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mahammadu Nadada Umar.

During the ceremony, the governor said that following the dissolution of the state Executive Council, it was pertinent to appoint a new secretary to the state government to avoid creating a vaccum in the state government machinery.

Governor Abubakar explained that the changes in his cabinet was necessary to enable the government execute projects earmarked in different parts of the state.

His words: “We all know the enormous responsibilities placed in the office of the secretary to the state government from 1999 to 2006.

“During  this period, Nadada was adjudged to be loyal, hardworking, honest, sincere and discharged the duties of his office diligently and effectively.

“While congratulating you on this appointment, you should know that a lot is expected from you, considering your past record in that capacity. Your reappointment to this position is therefore a clear testimony of the confidence and trust we repose in you.”

The governor, who reiterated  the determination of his administration to bring positive changes to the lives of the people, said that measures were taken by the government to sanitize the system and ensure prudent management of resources.

The new SSG, Mohammed Nadada Umar, served under former Governor Adamu Muazu’s administration as SSG from 1999 to 2006.
