The Association of Nigeria-Americans Professions is particularly delighted for Nigeria and strongly commend the Nigerian Security Forces and the Commander-in-Chief of Nigerian Armed Forces, President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan for their strong military leadership and huge successes against Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorist group that has perpetrated carnage in the Northeastern part of the country.
We are ecstatic that the morale of the military has been elevated as it has successfully driven Boko Haram away from Baga and recaptured that major strategic town, as well as reclaiming of Monguno and Gwoza fully with the military forces patrolling the recaptured territories. Nigerian professionals in the Diaspora are overjoyed that President Jonathan has unleashed the military to overrun the terrorist group, Boko Haram. We commend the President for utilizing the military fully and we commend the military for discharging its constitutional responsibility.
The security of the nation lies in the hands of the military. The strategic military successes in many fronts have shown how strong the Nigerian army is and we are proud of members of the Nigerian Armed Forces. We read with joy the statement from Defense Spokesman Major-General Chris Olukolade who said, “We have secured Baga. We are now in full control. There are only mopping up exercises left to do.” He said that “similar exercise is being carried out in over 15 locations namely Gajigana, Ngaze, Ngenzai, Marte Junction, Mile 90, Yoyo, Kekeno, Kukawa, Cross Kauwa, Kangarwa, Amirari, Kichimatari, Borokari Barati, Kauwa and other localities where troops have flushed out the terrorists in the operations preceding the entry to Baga.”
We are thankful to the Nigerian Armed Forces for successfully executed operations in Gajigana, Ngaze, Ngenzai, Marte Junction, Mile 90, Yoyo, Kekeno, Kukawa, Cross Kauwa, Kangarwa, Amirari, Kichimatari,
Borokari Barati, Kauwa and other areas where the military has successfully flushed out Boko Haram in the operations preceding the entry to Baga and surrounding towns. These successes have demonstrated that President Jonathan is definitely a strong leader contrary to what his foes would like Nigerians to believe of him. President Jonathan is now using the skills and resolve he utilized to fight Ebola Virus to wage a vigorous fight against Boko Haram. The President has used the military to destroy the strongholds of the terrorist group, Boko Haram. It is now clearly obvious that President Jonathan is a very strong leader who is capable solving security issues in Nigeria. The global community is now applauding President Jonathan for his bold and decisive action against Boko Haram. We commend him and want him to continue until the group is totally wiped out like Ebola virus.
