Hoodlums attack protesters in Alausa

-

Hoodlums on Friday, July 15, 2016, attacked protesters at Alausa, Lagos State.

The civil societies in conjunction with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) were protesting in front of NECA building in Alausa Lagos over the mass sack in banks and the recent ban on street trading in the state when the hoodlums numbering about 50 stormed the area brandishing weapons.

The police were on ground but seemed overwhelmed by the huge number of hoodlums.

The Lagos State Taskforce on Environment and Special Offences, commenced a total enforcement on street trading across the state as directed by the governor on Monday, July 4, following the order by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state on a total clamp.
