Thirty-eight ship conveying various consignments would arrive at the Lagos ports between June 10 and June 25, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday.
This is contained in NPA’s “Shipping Publication’’ on Friday made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
It stated that one of the vessels, MV Roma, containing 67 units of vehicles was expected on Friday, and was the first vehicle-laden vessel to berth in Nigerian ports since the beginning of the year.
NPA explained that the 37 other expected ships contained buck wheat, bulk sugar, bulk ethanol, bulk gypsum, containers, charcoal, frozen fish, bulk fertiliser and petrol.
The document also said that 13 ships with petrol and aviation fuel had arrived at the ports, waiting to berth.

It said that 17 ships were at the ports discharging general cargoes, buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk sugar, bulk salt, steel product and petrol.
