Seven ships laden with petrol, aviation fuel, diesel and kerosene have arrived Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos, waiting to berth.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication- Shipping Position’ made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos.
NPA explained that two other ships waiting to berth were laden with bulk rice and general cargo.
The document noted that 31 other ships were expected in the ports with steel products, general cargo, buck wheat, fresh fish and crude palm oil.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other ships are expected to sail in with petrol, buthane gas, kerosene, diesel, ethanol, bulk soya, bulk bauxite and bulk urea.
NPA added that 23 ships were in the ports discharging bulk wheat, steel products, general cargo, bulk rice, fresh fish, petrol, kerosene, buthane, bulk sugar and clinker. (NAN)
