5 vessels waiting to discharge petroleum product at Lagos Ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Thursday said that five vessels laden with petroleum products were waiting to discharge their products at the Lagos ports.

 

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NPA’s port situation report is contained in the company’s daily publication, “Shipping Position,” released in Lagos.

According to the NPA, four of the vessels are carrying petrol while one of the vessels contains kerosene.

It also said that seven other vessels would discharge rice, wheat, containers and general cargo.

 

 

The NPA also said that it was expecting the arrival of 37 vessels to sail into various Lagos ports between Oct. 2 and Oct. 27.

 

 

A breakdown of the expected vessels shows that 19 of the vessels will sail in with containers while 12 are to arrive with various food items.

 

 

According to the NPA, the food items include bagged rice, buckwheat, bulk sugar, bulk malt, frozen fish and crude palm oil.

 

 

It said that four of the vessels would arrive with general cargo while the remaining one vessel would arrive with petrol. (NAN)
