49-year-old UNILORIN holds 39th convocation

University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), a 49-year-old institution, will hold its 39th convocation ceremony in October with programmes that include commissioning of projects by President Bola Tinubu.
The ceremony, according to a statement issued by Director of Corporate Affairs of the university Kunle Akogun, will also feature a convocation lecture by the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the federation, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN.

The lecture is entitled “Nurturing Democratic Values and Education for the Future of Nigeria.”
The ceremony which will be held between 17th and 22nd of October will also feature the Convocation Play, entitled “Nilee Wa’ (In Our Land).”
The statement said the main convocation event will hold on Monday, October 21, 2024, and Tuesday, October 22, 2024 for graduands of ‘4 Year’ and ‘5 Year’ programmes, as well as the Postgraduate School, respectively.
It said President Tinubu, the university’s visitor, will on Tuesday commission some newly completed projects in the university.
