The Minister of Transport Chibuike Amaechi said on Saturday that immediate-past president Goodluck Jonathan hated the people of Rivers State so badly that the president refused to pay for clean-up of Ogoniland.

Moreover Amaechi said, he is ready to fight the election war with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike at the March 19 rerun of the National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

Amaechi who challenged the governor in a monitored radio programme in Rivers State, said the governor is so desperate he could sell even his own mother.

Amaechi said, “Jonathan hated Rivers people so much that ordinary $1bn to clean up Ogoni land, he refused to pay.”

The former governor said that he was ready for Wike in the rerun National and State Assembly Election on March 19.

“Nyesom Wike is here to steal money, he was my chief of staff. We will chase Wike’s boys out of the water, now we have Dakuku Peterside as DG NIMASA,” he said.

“People still want me back as governor. I will be here till the March 19 re-run election; let’s see what Wike can do. Let’s face it man to man.

“If you see the money stolen by Nyesom Wike from Ministry Of Education you will be shocked. Everyday you wake up to find out that Wike has killed somebody.

“Wike has collected N50bn; what has he done with the money?

“By this time when I was sworn in, I was already commissioning projects. Wike is so desperate that he can sell his mother. On the day of the re-run, I am ready for Wike. They should come out with their guns, we are ready for them,” he said.
