The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that CHAN Eagles skipper, Chima Akas will star for Enyimba FC of Aba in the CAF Champions League.
A picture of the former Sharks defender was displayed on Enyimba’s team list by CAF even before the League Management Company (LMC) and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) cleared him to play for the Peoples Elephants.
Recall there had been a dispute between Akwa United and the seven-times Nigeria Premier League champions over the signing of Akas.
After the dispute settlement, Akas has since joined the rest of the team in Port Harcourt.
However, Enyimba face another daunting task this weekend as they host Vital’O of Burundi this weekend in the CAF Champions League qualification first leg.
