He blamed most of the incidents to speeding, poor condition of the roads and failure by motorists to comply with road traffic rules and regulations.

He said the incidents were also caused by human errors, recklessness and impatience, and warned that the commission would continue to apprehend violators.

The sector commander, therefore, called on motorists, especially commercial drivers, to always obey traffic rules in order to prevent carnage and loss of lives on the roads.

“Drivers, especially commercial drivers, should maintain their vehicles’ engines, use good tyres, good wipers and other mechanisms needed to keep their vehicles in good condition at all times,” he said.

He commended the Osun government for complementing the commission’s efforts at reducing road accidents in the state. (NAN)
