Lawyer Rickey Tarfa (SAN), who on Friday prevented the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from arresting a businessman from Benin Republic, Granhoue Sourou Nazaire has been detained by the agency and is now cooling his feet behind bars.
EFCC agents at the court premises in Lagos had laid ambush for Nazaire with the plan to arrest him for fraud, but Tarfa shielded him and tried to get a judge to issue an order to bar the EFCCC from picking him up.
