As the National Youth Games draws near, Princess Mabel Madojiemu has continued to stand in the gap for young athletes that participated in the National Schools Sports Federations (NSSF) trials held in Ibadan for 2024 National Youth Games qualifiers in Asaba.

The duo of Treasure Omosivwe and Celeb Moses in Long jump and 400m have qualified with three others to represent Edo State at the Youth Games through Princess Mabel Madojiemu Sponsorship.

It was revealed that athletes had to be fished out from Private schools because the Education Ministry stopped all Government schools Athletes from attending the competition in Ibadan.

“We can say categorically that our developmental programmes is working but for the obstacles between Sports Commission and Ministry of Education, thanks to Princess Mabel who believed in us and sponsored the athletes.

“Only a few can testify to the insult l have received but l thank the athletes for making me proud,” Oluwa said.

Princess Madojiemu is also a member on the board of Edo State Sports Commission
