Peter Obi pledged that his party, LP, will take back Nigeria and give it to the youths where it belongs.

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has vowed that with the level of consciousness in Nigeria and the readiness of his party for the 2023 polls, the country will not continue to remain the way it is.

Obi made the pledge in Owerri, Imo State, on Saturday, August 13, 2022, while commissioning a building donated to the LP 2023 campaign organisation by a US-based indigene of the state, Dr. Libo Agwara.

Obi told the enthusiastic crowd at the occasion that because campaigns had not been officially flagged off, he would not make any statements on the agenda of his party. He, however, assured that by the time the campaigns commence, the country will not remain the same.

He expressed the desire to take back the country from its current sorry state and hand it over to the youths and the other citizens who have borne the brunt of bad leadership all the while.

He said; “As you know, campaigns have not started. So, I am not here for campaigns. I am here to receive from a wonderful supporter, who gave us this building to support our Labour movement.

“We have not started campaigns. When campaigns start, we will come and we will be able to tell you what we are going to do. But one thing we will assure you is that our journey is not a normal campaign. We are bringing back Nigerians, to take back Nigeria. We are going to take back Nigeria and give it to the youths where it belongs. When that time comes, you will know. We will be able to change this country. It cannot continue the way it is, today”.
