2023: APC members canvass votes for Tinubu, Ipinshagba, Tunji-Ojo, others in Akoko

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo state have expressed determination to work assidiously to ensure maximum votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the area.

The resolution was made yesterday at Okeagbe Akoko during the continuation of the Ward Campaign rally in Okeagbe Ward 3 and Oyin/Oge Ward 4 of the local government.

It was a massive turnout of members and supporters of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and other candidates of the party.

Specifically, they resolved at the rally to work assidiously for the victories of the APC candidates in the area.

The local government party Chairman, Hon Kehinde Obanla while welcoming leaders and members to the rally noted the peculiar nature of the forthcoming election, and emphasised the need for all hands to be on deck to ensure maximum votes for the party in the state.

In his address, the Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. Rasheed Badmus encouraged party members to ensure total victory for the party candidates in the 2023 general election.

He also commended the host wards for the large turnout saying that with the turnout, victory is sure for APC in the area.

Also speaking, a chieftain of APC, Evangelist Olumuyiwa Asagunla, Odofin Ogboye of Afa Okeagbe said the choice of Pastor Jide Ipinshagba and Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for the National Assembly seats was a perfect match for Akoko people.

Asagunla however appealed to the party members to ensure that no opposition party candidate is allowed to represent any of the state constituencies in 2023. He pointed out that the performance of Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo representing Akoko North East, Akoko North West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives in the last three and half years putting the party in good stead for victory in the area.

In his own contribution, the Local Government Chairman, Elder Samson Akande noted that opposition parties no longer exist in the local government.

He said: “We all know Fatai Atere is a youth and he is very exposed. I am sure our party members will get him to the state Assembly with their votes.”

The Assembly Candidate of the party in Akoko North West Constituency1, Hon Fatai Atere appreciated party members for the support so far and promise not to disappoint them if elected.

While presenting Campaign Bus and Motorcycle to support the party candidates, the local government Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Ifeoluwa Ehindero said: “the party candidates are credible enough and worthy of every support they get.

“Our people have tasted from the dividends of democracy offered by our super Rep and leader, Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and they know the strength of Asiwaju, Pastor Jide Ipinshagba and Fatai Atere. We are very confident of victory”, he noted

Others at the rally include: Prince Dayo Bello, Hon. Apalowo Thalis, Councillors and other leaders of the party.
