The immediate past Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu (MBA), has advised members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to bury their differences and work for the unity of the party if they want to return to power in 2019.
Babangida Aliyu also said that he had no regrets for most of the decisions taken in his eight years administration because they were a collective decision by members of the State Executive Council based on the popular needs and demands of Nigerlites.
His words: “I have no regrets for my actions in the eight years in office because as a government the important thing is to give priority to security of lives and properties and welfare of people, this we did credibly.
“No political party can grow and sustain victory where negative tendencies such as; unguided personal ambitions, impunity and super imposition thriving among members above party interests, rules and regulations abound.”
For the PDP to bounce back to power, Babangida Aliyu said that the erstwhile ruling party must instill discipline, shun anti-democratic principles in its internal businesses and in doing so discard old ways of doing things which caused bad blood among the ranks of the party.
