Mrs Nnacheta commended Chime for his kind gesture towards the students irrespective of their place of origin.

She explained that the scheme was initiated by the Governor to encourage youths to strive for excellence in their chosen profession as the method of selection is based on outstanding academic performance and good character.

She however urged the beneficiaries of the scheme to live up to expectation so that the good deed of the administration will not go to waste.

Two of the students who spoke to the press, Franklin Eluagu and Igwe Ginika, from the Young African Stars Club expressed gratitude to Chime for carrying the youths along in his transformation agenda and promised that they would contribute their quota to this administration by campaigning against child abuse and other vices against the welfare of the youth.

Also speaking, parents of some beneficiaries, His Royal Highness Igwe Daniel Ugwuanyi and Mr Sunday Udom, thanked the Governor for his love, goodwill as well as his fatherly attitude towards the young ones which propelled him to establish this scholarship scheme.
