Pray against use of leadership by devil to  disintegrate Nigeria, says cleric

-

Nigerians have been called upon to stop lamenting but pray hard in the face of political uncertainties for God’s intervention to save Nigeria from being thrown into chaos by their  leaders.

He warned that the present leadership was bent on destroying Nigeria and its citizens just to remain power.

Rev. Fr. Chiedozie Ezeribe gave the warning during the solemnization of Holy matrimony between Justina Eleojo and Francis Oluwaseun Aina, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dutsen Kura-Gwari, Minna, Niger State.

“Instead of allowing votes to count, Ezeribe said that it was unfortunate that the use of force, intimidation and abuses had become part of electoral norms deployed by the present administration.

The cleric apparently was reacting to the political developments in Ekiti State where both the PDP and the APC lay claims to seat of power, regretting that Nigerians were fast losing sleep over the alleged abuse of power by the Federal Government.

Ezeribe described politics of brigandage displayed in Ekiti State as ‘old fashioned’.

He said that many respected Nigerians have

warned against politics of bitterness going on in the country, adding that the situation is getting worse by the day hence can only be resolved through divine intervention.

“Pray that the devil will not use selfish leaders to destroy this country”, the Catholic Priest said as he encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope for a better tomorrow by remaining fervent in prayers for God’s intervention.

Ezeribe who led eleven other Catholic Priests from within and outside Niger state in joining Justina and Francis as one however reminded the new couple and parents on the need to allow God to be the first in their words and actions so that their children will grow up with the fear of God.

He reminded them that well groomed children will bring about better society, better society for better government that will respect the people’s choice and not use force in deciding who should lead or represent them as president, governors, legislators at federal and state levels and even local government areas.

Oluwaseun Aina is the son to the Legal Adviser, National Examinations Council (NECO), Mr. Babatunde Aina, while Justina Eleojo served with the Makurdi Catholic Diocese, Benue State.
