Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh has assured Nigerians that the athletes representing the country at the 2024 Paris Olympics will be aiming for gold medals.

He discloses this in a statement made available to journalists on Friday by his S.A. Media, Diana-Mary Nsan.

According to the minister, his Ministry is committed to seeing Team Nigeria achieve remarkable success in Paris.

Drawing inspiration from past achievements and a vision for the future, Enoh emphasized Nigeria would be building on the heroics of the 1996 Olympic Games athletes.

He said: “Like every area of human endeavor, we expect to build upon what we did at the last Olympics. After Atlanta 1996, the time has come for Nigeria to win at the very least, a gold medal at the Olympics.”
