Ronaldo scored deep into the second half to prevent Atalanta from leapfrogging United

Manchester United needed Ronaldo to score twice to earn a draw away to Atalanta and prevent them from topping Group F.
Atalanta scored as early as the 12th minute when Josip IIicit converted a pass from Duvan Zepata.
United’s Legend Cristiano Ronaldo equalized for the away side on the 46th minute after an assist from his compatriot, Bruno Fernades.
Atalanta’s assist provider, Duvan Zepata turned a scorer and made it 2-1 in favor of the home side in the 56th minute after Jose Luis Palomino’s pass.
Cristiano Ronaldo, once again, came to Manchester United’s rescue, as he scored from an assist from Mason Greenwood to end the game 2 -2.
In the other game in Group F, Villareal defeated Young Boys 2-0 to equal United’s tally at the top of the table.
Goals from Etienne Capoue and Amaut Damjuma in the 36th and 89th minutes respectively won the game for the home side.
Robert Lewandowski, scored a hat-rick in Bayern Munich’s 5 -2 defeat of Benfica in a Group E game, while Barcelona narrowly beat Dynamo Kyiv, with the goal coming from Ansu Fati
Wolfsburg move 2 points closer to the group leader FC Salzburg after beating them 2-1 at home, while Lille came from 2 goals down to beat Sevilla.
