Remo Stars boss, Daniel Ogunmodede has claimed his side is aiming to go a step better than last year by winning the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title this season.
He made this known after the Ikenne based club claimed a 2-1 home win against Rivers United on Monday and moved within one point of league leaders, Rangers.
Prior to his comment, Rangers head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has played down his side’s title chances despite their leadership position on the log table.
Reacting to his statement, Ogunmodede said the title is in Remo Stars’ view and they will fight hard to win it.

He jokingly added that his team will gladly take the title since the table toppers seemingly don’t want the trophy.
”I think it (the title) is in view because my friend (Fidelis Ilechukwu) said they are still building, so, we are trying to capitalise on the fact that they are building and we are trying to get the trophy,” Ogunmodede told the club’s media.
