Police investigating murder of man by officer at a mall

Police in Lagos have disclosed investigation of the death of one Anosikwa Patrick allegedly stabbed to death by a police officer at the weekend.
State Police Command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident happened at Skymall Shopping Mall in the Ajah area of the state on April 20, and both the manager and chief security officer of the mall are now in custody assisting with the investigation.
Hundeyin pledged justice will be served as Police Commissioner Adegoke Fayoade has directed detectives at the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to ensure speedy and diligent investigation that will ensure the culprit or culprits face the law.
“The police officer has been identified as Inspr Taofeek, a member of visiting 12 PMF squadron to Lagos.
“The members of the public shall be kept abreast of the investigation as it progresses,” he said.
