61. Death at Dawn
So with the wails,
You have gone.
Listen Mother Maria;
Give me your ears.
Where ever you go,
In your reincarnations,
Let this not befall you,
And never to us.
62. I don’t believe
This night,
I listened to the radio,
As names of selected few,
Went for guided success.
And I said:
I don’t believe in this Nigeria.
I don’t believe in the land for a few,
The place frowns on my existence.
But I love the land
My passion for the just
Comes justly first.
So I believe in Nigeria that is just.
And that justice pure as grace,
Its colours amazing, bright and soothing,
We will bring home,
I and all that long for peace.
