Our miracle-working God

Our God is gracious. He often meets us with grace when we expect judgment. Ephesians 2:4 says God is rich in mercy. Psalms 103:11 says His mercy reaches to the heavens. He has been merciful before, and He will be merciful again.

This brings to my heart the testimony of a certain woman in our church. According to her, “God that answered Hannah at Shiloh is at work again! Twenty years of barrenness broken with just a sachet of water. I was feeling somehow and I went to the hospital for medical check-up; the doctor only said: ‘Congratulations! You are 12 weeks pregnant.’ The Doctor of doctors has turned my tears into cheers!”

Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us that it is out of the mercy of God that we are not consumed. This mercy is new every morning. You will get your share of this great mercy. God has grace for you today and your tomorrow. He is the One who knows tomorrow.

He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is, He was, and He is to come; the Almighty. Because He is Alpha, your future is not in the hands of any man. This is why David said in Psalm 31:15, “My times are in thy hand, deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from them that persecute me.”

The prophet of God, Elisha, once said that there would be supernatural abundance within 24 hours in a city witnessing severe famine and desolation. God can do a lot in 24 hours. Give God 24 hours and He will pack a lot into it.

In Exodus 14:21-28, within 24 hours, God opened a way in the Red Sea and drowned all the enemies of the children of Israel, thereby putting an end to their bondage forever.

In like manner, God put an end to the threat and bondage of death in the life of a boy in our church. Within 24 hours, the boy, who had a health challenge, and eventually gave up the ghost, came back to life after fervent, faith-accompanied prayers by the his mother.

In Daniel 6:16-24, within 24 hours, God silenced animal lions and human lions and then promoted Daniel. Nobody ever troubled him again. In 2 Kings 4:1-7, the Bible tells us of a widow who was in debt. Creditors came and gave her 24 hours within which to pay up or they would take her children into captivity. Within 24 hours, God provided for her and she paid off her debts and also had enough left to live on for the rest of her life.

Today, I prophesy, within 24 hours, the siege over your life will be over. Within 24 hours, anything called fear will not be heard of anymore. Within 24 hours, there will be freedom. Within 24 hours, you will receive your miracle. Within 24 hours, your mountain will move. Receive God’s Word today and you will have a testimony.

I have a conviction in my spirit as I write this; Jesus will step into your situation!

The world has no problem which heaven has no solution to. Whatever you are going through today, someone has gone through the same experience and received divine solution. The Bible is a wonderful book; there is no book like it. Its pages leap with encouraging and heart-warming stories of God’s miraculous interventions in the affairs of men.

In Luke 7:11-15, we have the story of the widow of Nain. The devil killed her only son. Her family was besieged. She was hopeless because she knew she would be lonely for the rest of her life. At that moment, Jesus stepped in. He told the woman to stop and assured her that there would be no more sorrow for her. Her weeping ended. Jesus steps in when the crisis is greater, and when it is darkest.

In Daniel 3:22-27, we also have the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The furnace they were put into was seven times hotter than normal. Perhaps, they expected God to do something, but He did not. Maybe they became disappointed. When they landed in the fiery furnace, the Son of God was there waiting for them. It is when the heat is at the peak that the Prince of Peace comes.

In John 5:2-9, we read of a man who had been lying by the pool of Bethesda for 38 years. He was no longer expecting a miracle. There are many people in that situation. You have believed God for healing for so long, and healing has not come. You are only in Christ because there is nowhere else to go. This was the situation of this man when the Great Physician came and his travails ended. He received his healing. In Mark 10:46-52, when blind Barthimaeus was crying for mercy, the crowd told him to shut up. He cried louder out of desperation. Jesus stood still when He heard his cry.

When the hour seems very dark and there is no hope, Jesus Christ will step in. Again, in Mark 5:1-15, we have the story of a man who was besieged from within and without; he had more than a thousand demons inside him. He was living in a tomb. He was poor and had no peace of mind. Nobody offered him any hope. He saw Jesus coming, and before the demons inside him could do anything, he ran to Jesus for help. A few minutes later, he became an evangelist and had peace within and without.

Are you passing through a dark period? I can assure you that Jesus will step in and the sun of righteousness will arise and bring healing unto your body, soul and spirit. When the hour is darkest, it means the sun is about to rise. The sun will rise for you today.
