Harry has arrived Abuja alongside Meghan his wife, with the Duke of Sussex following in the footsteps of Diana his mother who visited Nigeria in 1990 as then Princess of Wales married to Prince Charles, now King Charles III.

Diana died in 1997 after a bitter divorce from Charles, who went on to marry Camilla his long-time lover now called Queen Camilla upon Charles’s ascension to the English throne.

Meghan herself has a lineage to Nigeria, having discovered through a genealogy test that she is “43 per cent Nigerian” as she disclosed previously.

But they came mainly to discuss the Invictus Games Harry founded in 2014 for wounded soldiers.

This is breaking news picked up from Arise Television. Details later ….
