Atiku recruits 19 SANs, led by JK Gadzama

Atiku Abubakar has hired 19 Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) headed by litigation and commercial lawyer JK Gadzama to challenge in the Appeal Court the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election.
The aim is to “establish the claim of illegality in the election and reclaim the mandate of the Nigerian people,” Atiku explained the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate at his campaign headquarters in Abuja.
He said it is crucial for him to go through this process for himself and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as to reinforce constitutional democracy and safeguard it for future generations, according to The PUNCH.

Atiku and Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi both argue the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not follow the law in conducting the election and in declaring Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner.
The INEC announced Tinubu won 8,794,726 votes, Atiku (6, 984, 520), and Obi (6,101, 533).
Obi, too, is in court to challenge the result; likewise Tinubu, who has also alleged rigging in the ballot.
