Atiku grabs El-Rufai’s Kaduna with 554,360 votes

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has garnered 554,360 votes to win Kaduna, the domain of Bola Tinubu’s loyalist Governor Nasir el-Rufai.
Tinubu, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, got 399,293 votes, followed by Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi who won 294,494.
Obi grabbed seven council areas of Chikun, Kaura, Kajuru, Jaba, Kachia, Jema’a and Zango-Kataf. Tinubu clinched troubled Birnin-Gwari, and Sanga where Kaduna Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe hails from.
Atiku won in 14 councils – Giwa, Kauru, Lere, Ikara, Kagarko, Zaria, Sabon-Gari, Makarfi, Kaduna South, Kudan, Igabi, Kaduna North, Kubau, and Soba, according to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), per The PUNCH.
