Nineteen students, staff of Zamfara College of Agriculture and Animal Science in Bakura, have been released by the terrorists who seized them more than a month ago.
Bandits have been terrorizing Nigerians by abducting them in large numbers and demanding millions of naira for their release. Most state governments say they don’t pay the ransom, yet lack the capacity to launch a rescue, leaving poor families and friends of the kidnapped to sell off land and other prized properties to secure the release of their loved ones.
The freed persons are said to be on their way to the state government house in Gusau where they will be received by the state Governor, Bello Matawalle.
