Yusuf would be visiting Daura regularly and be participating in the daily routines of the emirate council

Barely four months after Kano State was shut down, literally, for the wedding of Yusuf, President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, it was the turn of Katsina State on Saturday where Yusuf was turbaned as Talban Daura, making him the District Head of Kwasarawa, by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk.
The event held in Daura, country home of President Buhari.
On August 21, Yusuf, Buhari’s only male child, married his heartthrob, Zahra, daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero.
The wedding was attended by the who is who in Nigeria including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, former President Goodluck Jonathan, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Also present was the former President of Niger Republic, Mahamadou Isoufou.
On Saturday, the train moved to Daura where Yusuf was turbaned district head.
Though Buhari was not physically present this time, the event was, nevertheless, graced by prominent Nigerians, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, led a high-profile Senate delegation that included Senator Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, and Senator Bello Mandiya, to the event.
He was received on arrival by the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport, Katsina.
Speaker of the House of Representatives , Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State, Kano State Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, the Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, who is Yusuf’s father-in-law, former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff and members of the Katsina State House of Assembly, were equally in attendance.
The Emir of Daura said at the occasion that Buhari deserved to be appointed a district head considering the developmental strides brought to the emirate by his father.
He added that in his new role, Yusuf would be visiting Daura regularly and be participating in the daily routines of the emirate council, contributing his quota toward its development.
