A teenager, who identified himself as Yusuf Alami, has revealed why he stood in front of the convoy of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, during the party’s campaign rally in Lagos State on Saturday.
The teenager, in a picture that went viral on social media, is seen stretching his arms out wide in front of a Toyota Prado SUV, with Obi standing through the open roof of the car, smiling at him.
When he was interviewed, Alami disclosed that he stood in front of the convoy because of his love for Obi.
A report in The Punch quotes Yusuf Alami, who said he hails from Ibadan but based in Lagos, as saying that Obi helps people and he likes him (Obi) a lot.
Alami added that if Obi wins the election, he (Alami) would pray for the presidential candidate to do well.
Obi rounded up his presidential campaign in Lagos, with a rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, on Saturday after campaigning across the 36 states of the federation.

A mammoth crowd of enthusiastic supporters attended the rally.
Obi’s running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed was also present at the finale, as well as the leader of the pan Yoruba socio-political organisation Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, among others.
Obi led thousands of his supporters in a road walk to the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), venue of mega rally.
Different groups and supporters of the Labour Party Presidential candidate marched on foot from most parts of the state to the TBS.
Obi himself joined the road walk, albeit in an open van.
The Lagos rally is one of the biggest the Labour Party has held since the commencement of the presidential campaign on September 28, leading to gridlock in some routes in the state.
This provoked a reaction from the spokesperson of the Bola Tinubu campaign organisation, Bayo Onanuga, who fumed that the Obidients, as Peter Obi supporters are called, disrupted traffic in the state.
