Youths barricade road as herdsmen injure 10 in Benue

Following attacks on beleaguered indigenes of Antsa community in embattled Benue State on Monday by suspected Fulani herdsmen, youths from the area have mounted roadblocks in protest.
Ten people were reportedly injured in the unprovoked attack, which residents claim has become rather frequent.
Antsa community is located on the ever-busy North Bank – J.S. Tarka University of Agriculture, Makurdi, road.
The road also provides access for those travelling to Gbajimba in Guma Local Government area .
As earlier as 7 am on Monday, youths mounted road blocks on the busy University Community road.

They prevented vehicles and motorcycles from passing through.
As at the time of filing this report, the youths vowed to remain on the road until authorities address them on the security challenges in their community.
