Yobe to spend N3.2b on projects

Yobe State Executive Council has approved N3,218,822,134.85 for the execution of projects in the state.

Commissioner of Education,  Mohammed Lamin, disclosed this after the Executive Council meeting in Damaturu.

According to him,  approval was granted for the construction 16 kilometre double coat surface dressed road from Garin Alkali to Gwio Kura in Bursari and Bade local government areas, respectively.

The project is estimated to cost N1,585,134,581.15.

Other projects approved include, construction of 15 kilometres double coat surface dressed Zobo -Siminti road in Fika Local Government Area at a total cost of N1,471,609,092.19.

“Purchase of Asphalt Paver Finisher at a total cost of N125,00,000.00.

“Contract for the construction of perimeter fencing and Gate House at Government College,  Nguru, a distance of 4000 meters, at a total cost of N134,478,461.51”.
