Singer and TV personality, Yeni Kuti, has reacted to recent comments by Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola about Nigerian youth.

Foluke had on Tuesday, frowned at situations where young people insult older ones on social media because of their different political views during a live video.

She went on to state that the consequence of disrespecting her would be very grave.

She wrote: “I beg everybody, with everything you hold dear, don’t come to say rubbish on my page. I’m a disciplinarian, I won’t let it fly because I’m looking for a scapegoat.

“If you say anything stupid, the repercussions will be very grave. My true fans know that I stand for what’s right, I stand for value and culture.”

Reacting to Foluke’s outburst, while featuring on TVC’s “Your View” on Wednesday, Kuti recalled how the thespian insulted her years ago while they were on a job together.

Kuti said: “Foluke Daramola, I like her, and I talk to her. But I remember when she insulted me. I just googled her now. She’s 45, I’m 62.”

The daughter of the late Afrobeats legend also claimed that the incident occurred decades ago, but she remembered it because it affected her.

She went on to say the actress was only reaping what she sowed in the past.

“I was only doing what they asked me to do. I didn’t take money for the job. I did the job well, but the enmity I got from her was terrible.

“So I’m wondering if she remembers. I remember because it was done to me. Now she’s demanding respect. You reap what you sow. Karma is a leveler,” she added.
