Yari condemns gruesome murder of Sheikh Mada, says act ‘un-Islamic’

Yari also described the incident as a ugly development which has drawn Zamfara State back to days when human blood wasn’t sacred

All Progressives Party (APC) Chieftain and former Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has said the murder of the Chairman, Gusau Local Government, Ulama Council of JIBWIS, Abubakar Hassan Mada, is ‘un-Islamic and barbaric.’

Yari, who is currently the senator representing Zamfara West, made this known in a statement issued by the chairman, publicity committee, A A Yari political organization, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Danmadami Birinin Magaji.

While lamenting the killing, he described the incident as a ugly development which has drawn the State back to the old days whereby human blood wasn’t sacred.

He also advised the Zamfara State Government not to condone the action of the perpetrators of the evil act, urging them to ensure they are brought to book. 

Yari said: “The death of Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Mada has created a vacuum especially in the area of Islamic education as the deceased had dedicated his life to the cause of Islam.”

The former governor went on to console the deceased family, JIBWIS, Gusau Local Government branch, Its National Headquarters and Muslim Ummah for the great loss and prayed to Allah SWT to grant the late Sheikh Janattil Firdausi.

Also condemning the killing, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kaura Namoda / Birinin Magaji federal constituency, Aminu Sani Jaji said he received the news of the brutal killing with shock.

He further added that Nigeria should have gone beyond such a barbaric way of living.
