Woli Arole slams Christians criticizing BBNaija, urges them to fund ‘godly’ reality shows

Nigerian actor and popular stand-up comedian, Bayegun Oluwatoyin better known as Woli Arole on Monday blasted Christians who are condemning popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), urging them to stop labelling it ‘ungodly’.

He slammed people of the faith via a post he shared on his Instagram handle following recent criticisms of the popular TV show.

He went on to urge the Christian community to create their own ‘godly’ reality TV shows instead of complaining.

He further pointed out that there are many Christian billionaires in churches who can fund such projects.

Speaking via his verified social media page, Woli Agba said, “Nobody should complain about BBNaija. Do your own Godly reality TV show! If you do not sponsor them, you can’t tell them how they should behave. There are Christian billionaires who can fund Godly TV shows. Period.”

TheNiche had earlier reported that BBNaija Season 9 edition premiered on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

A total of 28 housemates paired into fourteen groups are currently jostling for the N100 million cash prize up for grabs. 

However, the commencement of BBNaija Season 9 has elicited mixed reactions, while some Nigerians applauded the show, others expressed dissatisfaction that it is being aired on television..
