Wizkid, P-Square, Ruggedman thrill at 10th Rhythm Unplugged

Rhythm Unplugged turned 10 this year with Wizkid, P-Square, Ruggedman and a host of other stars thrilling guests at the annual concert sponsored by Pepsi.

Attracting some of the best entertainers the country can boast of, the event which took place at the Convention centre of Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, was anchored by the hilarious duo of Basketmouth and IK Osakioduwa of the Big Brother fame. Both cracked ribs with ensuring there was no dull moment during the all night show.

DJ Humility was at the event as were several up-and-coming acts who started for the big entertainers.

The duo of P-Square stormed the stage with songs like ‘E No Easy’, ‘Shekini’ and ‘Collabo’. Then came M.I, Presh, Waje, Davido, Sound Sultan, Kaffy, Ruggedman, Olu Maintain and Don Jazzy with the Marvin’s all stars.

Commenting on the event, an elated Head of Marketing, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, Norden Thurston, said the array of stars at Pepsi Rhythm Unplugged goes to show the huge talent base in this country.

“This creative gifts lie with the youths and who could better project and support the youth more than a youth brand like Pepsi that has over the years been involved with youth and talent,” he said.

Olamide and Phyno eventually mounted the stage to deliver what is undoubtedly their best performance rousing the audience from what seemed like a slumber as each one sang along to hits like ‘Awon Goons Mi’ and ‘Man of the Year’.

But the best was yet to come as the audience found out when Wizkid, a Pepsi ambassador performed. It is one night the audience will remember for a long time to come.
