Ace Afrobeats star, Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid has blasted his long-term rival and colleague, David Adeleke aka Davido.
It all started on Tuesday after Davido announced his first single of 2024 and revealed the track will be a hit celebrating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
However, Wizkid, who seemed unimpressed, took to his X page to write: “P***y boys dropping mid again,” adding, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!”
Although he did not mention the name of his colleague, a fan of Davido fired back, accusing the Ojuelegba’ crooner of chasing clout using the name of the ‘Assurance’ hitmaker.
The user wrote: “So if you no beef @davido your song won’t sell??”

Responding, Wizkid said: “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!”
He went further, coining a new derogatory nickname for Davido, calling him “Frigodo” and stating that “Bingos got nothing on Starboy General till Infinity.”
The rift between the two music giants, which has seen highs and lows over the years, flared up again in recent months following a series of controversial tweets from Wizkid.
The rivalry took a bitter turn when both artistes began attacking each other’s personal lives.
Davido alleged that Wizkid had domestically abused his girlfriend and baby mama, Jada Pollock, while Wizkid retaliated by mocking Davido’s infidelity, insinuating that the “FEM” crooner had been caught begging for sex from one of his side chicks.
Adding fuel to the fire, he also mocked Davido’s entry into the world of cryptocurrency. After Davido launched a meme coin, Wizkid threw shade, advising his fans to “work smart so as not to hustle like a fool.”
