Nigerians are lamenting the high rate of insecurity in the country, coupled with a hike in fuel price which has made the standard of living extremely high.

For many Nigerians who took advantage of the social media to express their disapproval of President Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency, they bemoaned the security lapses in the country, especially the frequency of the abduction of students in school.

And while they are dealing with the impact of the insecurity which has resulted in the high cost of foodstuff because farmers are scared to go to the farms, they are faced with the news that fuel would go up from N162 to N212.

A Twitter user, @MrOdanz said: “If you take your APC membership card to filling stations, you can get fuel for N87. Buhari cares.”

Another tweet from @DeleFarotimi said: “By the time Buhari is done with Nigeria, Nigerians and Nigeria, will be finished.”

@Tife_Fabunmi said: “Someone can not sleep and wake up to good news about Nigeria. It’s either you wake up to the news of bandits or something worse. Now they said Buhari has increased fuel price to N212. This country nawa.”

@ImranSZN said: “We failed as a country when we elected Buhari in 2015 #FuelPriceHike”

@iykimo said: “Even if Buhari renames UNILAG Miyetti Allah University (MALU), nobody will protest Rolling on the floor laughing. The days of protests are over.”

@thesheddyking said: “After Nigerians adapt to a policy, Buhari comes up with another one to inconvenient us, and we adapt again.”
