Fulham winger, Willian has urged his teammates not to be complacent when they face Premier League champions, Man City, describing them as “the best team in the world”.

The Brazilian spoke ahead of Fulham’s league encounter with Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.

According to him,  Man City can ‘kill’ a team if the opponent sleeps for five seconds, adding that Fulham will have to be at their best to cause Pep Guardiola’s side problems.

He, however, made it clear that despite respecting them, he and his teammates are not afraid to face them.

“It’s always good to play against the big teams, especially City who are – for me – the best team in the world,” Willian was quoted by Metro UK as saying.

He added, “It’s going to be a difficult one for us, of course, but it’s always a pleasure to play these kinds of games, for sure.

“To beat them, you need to be perfect. In every moment of the game, in every aspect of the game. If you sleep for five seconds, they can kill us.

“We respect them a lot, as I said they are the best team in the world, but we cannot be afraid to play against them. We need to go there Saturday and try our best to win the game.”
