Senator Theodore Orji, has said that he would stop at nothing to ensure that his constituents receive due empowerment from his representation.

The lawmaker is the immediate past governor of Abia State and now representing Abia Central at the Red Chamber.

Orji, popularly called, “Ochendo,” was reacting to his recent empowerment programme at his constituency office in Umuahia, the state capital, where he empowered several youths.

He told The Niche: “I have a covenant with God to ensure that as long as I live I will ensure I do my best to the best of my ability. I am grateful to God for where he has taken me to in life and I will always share the joy of His blessings over my life with others.

“I do not only restrict my empowerment projects on ethnic or religious lines. No. it cuts across and I am happy when I see some of those I have helped surmounting their challenges. My people love me and they voted for me because they know my record, my integrity, my service-oriented nature and they trust me.

“What I did recently was to thank my constituents for their support over the years and a promise to do more as we soldier along together.”

On the latest empowerment programme of Senator Orji, last week, Deacon Iheanyichukwu Echewodo, founder, Fountain of Joy Outreach Ministry, who was at the event, commended the former governor on his commitment to the upliftment of his constituency.

He said that Orji has acquitted himself well at the Senate by ensuring that his promises with the people were kept.

Iheanyichukwu, who is also the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Vote Okezie Again (VOA) Umuahia North Local Government Area, told TheNiche that the present governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, was also committed in all sectors to ensure even development in the state.
