Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has revoked the land allocated to Senator Lee Maeba in Port Harcourt over the latter’s support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

Wike has been at loggerheads with Atiku due to his (Wike’s) insistence that the PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu should resign so a southerner can take the position to achieve regional balance in the party’s hierarchy.

A letter from the Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Lands and Survey to Maeba dated November 2, 2022, notified him of the revocation.
