Thousands of Christians on Thursday gathered at the NLNG Sandfill in Port Harcourt for the opening night of Great Gospel Crusade of the Christ for All Nations (CFAN).

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, and top government officials were among the congregation.

President of CFAN, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, said that power of the Holy  Spirit would manifest all through the crusade.

He said, “this is  the appointed time for God to bless the people of Port Harcourt.”

He urged the people  to place their hope in Jesus Christ who has paid the price for the redemption of their souls.

In his address, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, reiterated that Rivers State was a Christian State that has been  committed to God.

He expressed happiness that God used him to reclaim  the land where the crusade was held.

He noted that the NLNG sandfill used to be a den of robbers, now turned into a place for God’s blessing.

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda later led hundreds of people to God and there were several testimonies  of sick persons who received  their healing from God.

The opening day of the Crusade also witnessed praise and worship by Chioma Jesus and a visiting gospel artiste from the United  States.
