Wike asks Obi if he bribed judges to reclaim his mandate as Anambra governor after rejecting tribunal’s  verdict

Wike also demanded the suspension of Atiku from PDP during the a recent interview

Former Governor of Rivers State and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike has berated the candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 presidential election, Peter Obi for rejecting the verdict of the presidential election tribunal.

Wike made his feelings known during an interview on Channels TV after Obi rejected the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that upheld the victory of Bola Tinubu. 

Both the LP candidate and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart,  Atiku Abubakar rejected the court’s judgment and announced their decision to further seek justice at the Supreme Court.

Reacting to the development during the TV chat, the PDP chieftain, urged Obi to tell Nigerians and the whole world if he paid a bribe to reclaim his mandate at the court when he was removed as governor of Anambra State.

Wike speaking during the chat said: “Did Peter Obi not win at the Supreme Court when he was removed as governor? Did he pay bribe? Let him tell the world now,” Wike said.

“When he was removed as a governor, did he not reclaim his mandate at the Supreme Court?

“Judiciary was right but now that the decision happened, judiciary is wrong.”

During the same interview, Wike demanded the suspension of his party’s flag bearer in the February 25 presidential election, Atiku.

The former Rivers State governor also called on the National Working Committee (NWC), of the PDP, to suspend the former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal and former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido.

He said: “I’m calling on the National Working Committee of the party to, as a matter of urgency, suspend the presidential candidate of the party, suspend Aminu Tambuwal, suspend Sule Lamido …”
