Dino Melaye is the very vocal senator representing Kogi West. His lifestyle is considered contrary to what he stands for.
He is one of the few politicians who believes that public office holders should take a pay cut, for the country to move forward. He sees everything wrong in the N8.64 billion earmarked as wardrobe allowance when people are hungry.
Many people would have just overlooked the wine that surfaced with Melaye’s name and picture on it, if it was during campaign; but it came at the wrong time.
Although the suave senator has denied knowledge of the wine, it does not stop the reactions. Someone posted that “if a public officer can afford luxury cars, then I think this is nothing”.
Meanwhile, there is need for whoever is behind this ingenious business to come out, and he may probably get more patronage from other people.
Or is that another product of simulation?
