He gave the impression that he was popular with the people after attracting top politicians in the state to the party.

In the APC primary, Andy Uba polled more than 230, 000 votes to beat his opponents for the governorship ticket of the party. But in the main election, he scored only about 43,000 votes. At least 190k was bogus, Nigerians say.
On Twitter, @RinuSavvy asked: “Where are the 230,201 people that voted for Andy Uba during the APC governorship primary in Anambra? I’m curious to know. Do they live in or outside the state?”
@akaebube was more sarcastic: “POLLING UNIT RESULTS IN IHIALA
APGA – 47
PDP – 24
APC – 0(ZERO)
APGA 28
PDP 15
APC 0(ZERO).
Evidently, Andy Uba’s 230,000 votes in primaries shares same WhatsApp Group with the famous India beat Nigeria 99-1 Football tale.”
@OgbeniOmisore said: “Andy Uba’s primary election result and the total vote he garnered in the gubernatorial election in Anambra; would show you how trustworthy APC is, as a political party.”
