Dedevbo attributed the defeat to poor officiating and Ghana’s determination to win at all cost.

He said: “I will work on the lapses noticed in the two friendly matches. The Ghanaian side played robust football forcing the Falconets to play with caution.

The Ghanaian U-20 side on Sunday had a 1-0 win over their Nigerian counterparts in a match played at the Tema Stadium, Ghana.

The Black Princesses scored the only goal of the match in the 15th minute through Fatima Alhassan.

The match which was earlier scheduled for Liberty Stadium, Dansoman could not take place because of the deplorable state of the facility. The Tema municipal Stadium then hosted the two teams.

The Falconets and the Ghanaian side are to play four friendlies before the World Cup.

The return leg matches will take place in Nigeria from June 20 and 22. Nigeria won the first match 2-1.
