The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatíwa has assured the former Political Appointees during Governor Olusegun Mimiko Administration that the remaining three months of their salary arrears would be paid soonest
Aiyedatiwa gave the assurance when the Forum of Former Political Appointees (FFPA) paid him courtesy visit in his office.
According to him, “Iam indeed happy that two months have been paid out the five months owed you by the previous administration, we are going to look into the remaining three months if we can offset it in the December allocation.
He said this administration would definitely look into your case in order to put smile on your lips amidst competing demands from other segments of the state.
The Acting Governor noted that in spite of the state’s lean resources, the present administration will continue to do more and not shy away from its responsibility.
“I am so glad to hear good testimonies on the payment of two months of the salary arrears, we will surely do something in the next few weeks to offset the remaining three months”, he noted.
Earlier, in her address, the Chairperson of the Forum, Chief Mrs Lydia Olafunmiloye, former commissioner for women affairs appreciating the Acting Governor for the payment of the two months salary arrears out of the five months owed them by the previous administration saying that he has put smile on their lips again
“Your Excellency, as a man that stand and fight for the uplifting of the downtrodden, we strongly believe that you will use your good office to pay the three months salary arrears that is left soonest”, she added.
