The governorship candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Senator Ayogu Eze, has said that the party would ensure fair and credible election in 2019.
He said that the era of money sharing had gone, noting that what they were agitating for was free, fair and credible elections in the state.
Eze spoke in Nsukka during a flag-off campaign by all the Enugu North candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC).
He said, “If God was not truly in Enugu State side, Enugu would have fallen apart because of bad governance in the state.
“Nsukka people in the helm of affair were recording success until when this present administration came on board and if we keep quite things will spoil for the good people of Enugu State,” he said.
In his address, the Enugu North Senatorial candidates of the APC, Mr. Eugene Odo, chided the PDP for its inability to execute meaningful projects in the South East while in government for 16 years.
He said the APC administration had invested so much in the zone like second Niger Bridge, Enugu-Onitsha, Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway, and many others.
Eugene Odo, a two-time Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, said that his aspiration to represent his people was to attract projects that would benefit the constituency people.
According to him, the administration of Sullivan Chime from 2007 to 2015 constructed Opi Nsukka road which is still the only road leading to Nsukka till date, noting that Enugu North is the poorest in terms of infrastructural development.
Odo assured that if elected that he would reticulate the Adada Water Scheme that is capable of supplying portable water to the whole senatorial zone.
He frowned against the endorsement of PDP candidates by Ohanaeze, saying that it is unfortunate that Ohaneze which ought to be father to all disappointed the people by getting involved in politics.
He said that the South East people would support President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 to enable him complete the ongoing projects in the zone.
