Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, better known as Wande Coal, has revealed that he shared a very special bond with his former boss, Don Jazzy.
The Afribeats singer also bragged that he and the popular music producer and record label owner created “the syllabus of music.”
Wande Coal made this known during a recent interview with Cool FM, Lagos, where he alleged a lot of artistes read through what they had developed and used it to create their own sounds.

The 37-year-old ‘Been Long You Saw Me’ crooner, however, added that there was nothing wrong with the youngsters copying what he and Don Jazzy did.
Speaking during the chat, he said: “Me and Don Jazzy have always had a bond. He knows I always come with energy. Even in the studio, I’m always pumped. I’m like, yo, let’s do this sound. And he makes sure he kills it.
“So, it’s like symbiotic [relationship]. I feel like me and Don Jazzy created the syllabus of music. We created a syllabus of music and a lot of people read that and then took what they had to take to create their own. And that is what is happening now.
“There is no problem with that as long as we are still here making magic with the new generation’s sounds.”
Wande Coal and Don Jazzy worked together at the defunct Mo’Hits Records before he later joined the music producer at Mavin Records after the former recordwas dissolved.
The duo later parted ways in 2013 but remained good friends.
