Waldrum in a video posted on Twitter, admitted the weather in Australia is cold and may affect his players

Super Falcons boss, Randy Waldrum has said his team are ready for their opening fixture against Olympic champions, Canada at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Waldrum made this known in a short video interview posted on NFF’s Twitter handle, where he also admitted the weather in Australia is a bit cold and may affect his team.
The American, however, said even though the Canadians, whom they play on Thursday at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, head into the game as the overwhelming favourites, his girls are up for the task ahead.

He went on to say his players are adequately prepared for the match.
Speaking in the now-viral video, Waldrum said: “Good, good session, a good day, we did load them a little bit.
“The players were into it, it was intense, and then we got a chance to work on some of the tactics, so very pleased with training today.
“Obviously, the weather is going to be a little bit of a factor, it’s colder there than it is here, it’s winter in Australia, so we’re just going to have to adapt to it.
“It’s a 12:30 kick-off midday game, so that should help a little bit with the weather. I think the thing is, you get to this point, you just have to play in the elements, whatever they are, you’re at the World Cup.
“But I think the players are prepared, I think they understand the game plan, now we just have to make sure we execute it.”
After the match, Super Falcons are expected to take on co-hosts Australia and the Republic of Ireland, who are the other teams in the group.
